Linda Lowe Tillman, 78, passed away peacefully at Wuesthoff Hospice House in Rockledge, Fla., Feb. 28, 2017.
She was born in Mishawaka June 8, 1938 to Virginia and Howard Lowe and grew up with an older brother, Tom. She married Richard (Dick) Tillman on July 29, 1961 in Elkhart and enjoyed 55 1/2 years together.
Linda attended Mishawaka High School and graduated from Purdue University in 1960 with a BA Degree. Linda was a beautiful wife and mother of three daughters: Laurie Ward of Springfield, Mo.; Libbie FitzGerald of Issaquah, Wash.; and Susan Berg of Sammamish, Wash.
She was devoted to her family and active as a volunteer in the many places they resided through Dick’s Air Force career. They spent summers at Lake Wawasee where they enjoyed sailing, hosting family gatherings including their nine grandchildren, and time with friends.
Linda is predeceased by her parents, brother-in-law Jack Tillman (April 16, 1999), and sister-in-law Mary Lu Lowe (Sept. 29, 2015).
Family will be receiving friends at Beach Funeral Home, Indian Harbor Beach, from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 8. The Celebration of Life for Linda will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 9 at Holy Apostles Episcopal Church in Satellite Beach, officiated by Father Todd Schmidtetter. There will also be a Celebration of Life planned for this summer at Lake Wawasee.
