BAKFC’s 32nd Homes on Parade Launches

Today marked the first evening of the Builders Association of Kosciusko-Fulton Counties’ 32nd Homes on Parade, which will continue through to Sunday, Sept. 23. This year’s parade features four local builders: Coplen Construction, Milestone Construction, Renewal Homes and Timber Rock Construction.

People turned out in force to tour the homes, three of which are located in the Winona Lake-Warsaw area and one along the shores of Lake Wawasee outside of Syracuse. All of them showcase the latest in home and interior design while also showcasing their builders’ skills. This year there is a contemporary lakefront cottage, a modern farmhouse, a Craftsman-style ranch and waterfront renovation.

“The Builders Association of Kosciusko-Fulton Counties is very fortunate to have some of the finest builders in northern Indiana as its members,” BAKFC Executive Officer Trisha Steger said prior to the event. “Each custom entry is built to suit the unique design needs and tastes of its homeowners — which are brought to life with the expert project management and craftsmanship of their respective builders. Whether you are planning to remodel an existing home or design and build a new custom home — or even if you’re just a big fan of custom design — the 2018 Homes on Parade is the place to be!”

After touring all the homes, people can vote for their favorite on the back of their tickets, which they will then leave at the last home they visit. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at any of the tour homes; admission is free for children, 12 and under, U.S. veterans and active duty. Completed tickets will then be entered into a $100 Visa gift card prize drawing. The People’s Choice Award will be announced at a later date.

Tour hours are from noon to 8 p.m. tomorrow, Sept. 22, and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23. The 2018 Homes on Parade is sponsored by First Federal Savings Bank and Kosciusko REMC.
